SkillBridge is an AI tool that helps UK students and graduates match their academic skills to real job opportunities. It analyzes job requirements, extracts skills from academic documents, and uses intelligent matching to provide gap analysis, a personalized development plan, and optimized CV bullet points.
Solution
Students who don't realise their academic work has given them valuable professional skills. Those struggling to translate dissertations, coursework, and projects into compelling CV content. This includes undergraduate and postgraduate students preparing for internships, placements, or full-time graduate roles. It is also highly valuable for international students seeking to understand and meet the specific skill requirements of the UK job market. Essentially, it is for any academically-focused individual who needs a data-driven, strategic advantage in their job application process.
Challenges
Graduate CVs often undersell capabilities, students don't know which skills employers actually want, or how to present academic work professionally. The primary problem SkillBridge solves is the Skills Translation Gap. Students often possess the right competencies but fail to present them effectively on a CV. SkillBridge eliminates the guesswork by providing direct, evidence-based matching. This resolves the common pain points of generic applications, low interview rates, and uncertainty about which skills to prioritize for future development. SkillBridge transforms a student's academic journey into a highly targeted, job-ready professional portfolio, improving their chances of career success.
